You might be thinking how do you get feathers from a Chinchilla? And you're right a Chinchilla isn't even a bird. These feathers come from the Rooster bird and are named as they are naturally brown and white with light and dark grey striped patterns across the body.
These are coque (tail) feathers with a sturdy but flexible spine. Each feather is approximately 15cm long and there are over 500 feathers strung in the bundle. Great for weaving in to Korowai.
